TRADITIONAL ACUPUNCTURE

Traditional Chinese Acupuncture helps with a wide variety of ailments. These may be physical or emotional: Back pain, injury, arthritis, anxiety, depression, PMS, menopausal symptoms, etc. The first treatment can last up to 90 minutes including a detailed intake regarding current and past physical and mental health, with subsequent treatments lasting from 30-60 minutes. An initial acupuncture treatment consists of the acupuncturist asking the client questions regarding their current and past physical and mental health. The pulse may be assessed, and the tongue may be looked at in order to reach a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) diagnosis. The client will be instructed to lie down or sit up during treatment. The acupuncturist may need to palpate certain areas of the body for further assessment. Needles are inserted using sterilized, disposable needles to various areas of the body. Other modalities may be used in treatment, but will not be used without a full explanation of its reason, and the verbal consent and comfort of the client.

CUPPING and/or GUA SHA TREATMENTS

Initial Cupping Assessment  –  40 mins: $70

Cupping is a therapeutic technique creating a vacuum on an affected area which physically pulls the skin from underlying structures. It promotes circulation, and normalizes metabolic processes. It has been used for thousands of years in many different cultures, and can be used for physical or mental ailments.

Gua Sha promotes circulation and normalize metabolic processes in the subcutaneous tissue. It is used when one is experiencing pain, chronic congestion, asthma, physical/ emotional stress, among other ailments. Using a blunt, scooped tool, moderate pressure is applied to the affected areas and stroked in a downward motion repeatedly.

With a 30 minute Cupping and/or Gua Sha treatment, needles will be inserted during the final 10 minutes to areas that were found to be the most affected.

COSMETIC ACUPUNCTURE

Initial Cosmetic Assessment  –  75 mins: $100
Follow up Treatments - 45-60 mins: $100

Cosmetic acupuncture is effective in the reduction of fine lines, wrinkles, and cellulite in the body. Fine needles are inserted according to the clients’ needs, and in some cases gua sha and cupping are used to promote blood flow to the affected area.

TUI NA MASSAGE

Treatments - 30 mins: $55  /  60 mins with cups: $80

Tui Na is a form of Chinese Massage. It is used to relieve muscle tension by stimulating acupuncture points and channels, and promoting a smooth flow of energy. a 30 minute treatment will concentrate on the main complaint of the client. A 60 minute treatment will consist of a full Tui Na treatment, along with cupping or Gua Sha in the most affected areas.

Appointments & Cancellation:

A major credit card is required at time of booking to secure your appointment. 24-hours notice is required to cancel or reschedule your appointment. A cancellation fee will be charged for no-shows or appointments cancelled less than 24-hour before your scheduled appointment.
Please make sure to bring your insurance card (if direct billing) and doctor’s referral (if your insurance company requires one).

Check-in & Late Arrival:

Please arrive 10-15 min prior to your appointment time. Arriving late will result in a shortened service or rescheduled appointment with applicable charges.
